Uniform Policy 2017-18

 

Shirakawa School

2017 – 2018 Uniform Policy

 

Student clothing should be neat and clean at all times. All clothing must be size appropriate for the student.

All students need to wear the uniform Monday through Thursday.

Students not dressed in proper attire will be offered the choice to call home, wear loaner clothing from the office (if available), or be asked to remove the inappropriate garment (i.e. hats, undershirt, etc.).

*ALL shirts must have a collar.

*ALL shirts must have sleeves and be properly sized.

*T-shirt worn under collared shirt must be WHITE.

*Shirakawa sponsored t-shirts are acceptable as uniform.

 

 

Pants, Shorts,

Skirts, or Jumpers

 

 

Grades K-5

Grades 6-8

Black

 

No torn pants. No sweat pants. No leggings as pants allowed. No baggy pants or jeans. Skirts, jumpers, and shorts no shorter than 4 inches above the knee.

 

Socks, Tights, Leggings 

 No SOLID RED or BLUE

 Leggings are allowed when worn with skirts ONLY.

*Needs to be appropriate for classroom, recess, and PE activities. *Sandals, wheelies, and high heels are not acceptable.

*No excessive jewelry, heavy chains, or spiked earrings.

*Nothing that can be a distraction from classroom learning or a safety concern.

 

Every FRIDAY will be a FANTASTIC FREE DRESS FRIDAY!

Students must wear school appropriate clothing.
