George Shirakawa Sr. School's Site Council (SSC)
The School Site Council is a decision-making body made up of parents, community representatives, and school staff members. The School Site Council's primary responsibility is to oversee the funds the school receives under the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) that is aligned with the school's Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA). The funds are designed to improve student performance as measured by standardized tests, the District's State & Federal Programs, and classroom performance.
For the 19-20 school year, two SSC parent seats are open. If you are interested in declaring candidacy for a seat, please follow the timeline below to be placed on the ballot:
Candidacy Forms Available starting September 4 @ Back to School Night
Forms will be available in the Front Office
Declarations are due Thursday, September 12, 2019 by 3PM.
Ballots will be sent home with students on Friday, September 13, 2019.
Ballots are due by Friday, September 20, 2019 by 8AM.
