Ms. Christina Luu

Biography

Ms. Luu is originally from Los Angeles, the daughter of Vietnamese refugees. She attended LAUSD (where she later worked for 6 years) then went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in English from UCLA (go Bruins!) and a Master’s degree in English Education from CSUN. She has been a California educator for 12 years, primarily as a high school English teacher in Los Angeles and in Hayward.

In 2018, Ms. Luu earned her Administrative Services Credential. In 2022, she worked on a state-funded learning acceleration initiative at the Santa Clara County Office of Education in 2022 in order to support California educators as classrooms work to recover from the pandemic-related learning interruption. 

Ms. Luu has called the Bay Area home for the past decade with her husband. They are raising two boys, aged 4 and 7, in San Jose. She is honored to be entrusted to help lead Shirakawa as the Assistant Principal for the upcoming school year. Ms. Luu is looking forward to building community with parents, staff, and students.
