Mrs. Dinh, Mrs. Sanchez, and Ms. Switzer are the 4th grade teachers. 

Mrs. Dinh

Angie Dinh has taught in the Franklin-McKinley School District for 19 years.  She is bilingual in Vietnamese and English.  Angie loves to spend time with her family and friends.  She likes to go shopping. She really likes Asian and Italian food. When she retires from teaching, she will volunteer her time in church activities and helping the poor.


B.A. in Child Development at San Jose State University

Mrs. Sanchez
Mrs. Sanchez has been teaching for 15 years. She graduated from Universidad Autonoma de Madrid, Spain with a degree in English Philology. Her Master’s degree is in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. She is a certified Spanish bilingual teacher. She lives happily with her husband, and dog Marnie.

Ms. Switzer
Ms. Switzer has been teaching at Shirakawa for three years. She graduated from San Jose State University with a bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences. She is currently pursuing her master's degree in Educational Technology. In addition to teaching, Ms. Switzer is also the Webmaster for the Shirakawa website. When not teaching, she enjoys traveling, BBQing, and visiting her large family.

Reading: 45 minutes daily + Skill Handout
Math: 20 minutes daily
